Xiamen Zijin Tongguan Development Co. Ltd ("Zijin Consortium") acquired 23,649,509 Monterrico shares as a result of a recommended cash offer for the share capital of Monterrico (the "Offer"), which was concluded 27 April 2007. Subsequently, the Consortium sold down 2,630,606 of these shares to LS Nikko. This sale was finalized on 21 September 2007.

At the time of the Offer, the Zijin Consortium announced that it intended to retain the listing of Monterrico on AIM and to restrict its shareholding in Monterrico to not more than 70%. The sale of 2,630,606 shares to LS Nikko represents the first stage of this sell down.
